What are the basics for getting started in SFI?

Many people try to make SFI much more complicated than it really is.  There are actually just 4 things you need to learn to do. These 4 simple actions are outlined for you in SFI BASICS at:

Your  Compensation Plan

Important: To understand the SFI Compensation Plan, you must first understand CV (Commission Volume). Every product at TripleClicks.com has a CV value. This value is determined by the product's margin (The difference between the product's wholesale/base cost and the price the product sells for). The higher the margin, the higher the CV. A product's CV is the maximum amount that can be paid out in commissions for that product.

Co-Sponsor Commissions

Qualification: Executive Affiliate

Each time an SFI affiliate that you are the co-sponsor of places an order at TripleClicks.com, you earn 15% of the CV.

Earnings Example: An order is placed by one of your co-sponsored SFI affiliates (CSA) that has $28 CV. You earn a $4.20 Co-Sponsor Commission (15% of $28).

What's a TConnect page? In short, it's a personalized, free Web page every TripleClicks Member and SFI Affiliate automatically receives upon signing up as a member or joining SFI. You can put your TConnect page to work for you in a variety of ways immediately after setting it up—listing products to sell, marketing your SFI business, accessing special ECA and member deals, and much more!
Your Tconnect Page Sections
Before we get into details about what your TConnect page can do for you and your SFI business, take a look right now at your TConnect page listed below. NOTE: be sure to log in to TripleClicks.com for administrative access to your TConnect page. When you are NOT logged in, you'll see your TConnect site as one of your referred viewers would.

You'll notice that your TConnect page is organized into several sections.
At the top is a section for your photo and a short profile description of you and your business. Notice the "edit" link at the top of this section (you must be logged into TC to see it). Click this to access your TC Member information, edit your profile or photo (which we'll discuss in a moment), and view and/or update your TC account settings and address book.
Below your profile and photo section, you'll see sections labeled TC Power Rankings, My Connection News, and Stuff I'm Selling. You'll also see sections to the right side of the page with dropdown menus to display TC Members and ECAs you're connected with and who have connected with you.
Now, let's take a closer look at what these sections mean to you and how you can get the most out of them.
ONE PAGE WITH MANY USES
Stuff I'm Selling. This is one of the most obvious uses for your TConnect page—your very own sales site! You can use your TConnect page to refer people to just what YOU are selling at TripleClicks.com. Having an "online garage sale" and want to spread the word among your friends and family? No problem! Just refer everyone to your TConnect page. Your products will appear front and center in the Stuff I'm Selling section with easy direct links to purchase. By the way, listing your items at TripleClicks.com is extremely simple and takes only minutes. Find out how here.
Your Profile & Photo. Although it may not occur to you at first, this section can actually provide an easy marketing resource for your SFI business. You could entice viewers to learn more about the SFI opportunity with a TC member profile mentioning your SFI business in a succinct, professional manner.
As a timesaver, you could simply cut and paste the paragraph above directly into your TConnect page's profile textbox. Just click "edit" in the top left of your TConnect profile section and select the Profile tab to access your profile textbox. Click the Update button when you're done. TIP! While you're on the Profile tab, you may as well be sure you also have a nice photo in place for an even more professional looking and personalized TConnect page. Get some hints about ensuring your picture appears clearly and correctly from this training article.
Having an "about SFI" profile and professional photo in place on your TConnect page could generate extra sign-ups for you:

• When you refer people (e.g. via Facebook) to the stuff you're selling.
• When you bid on and/or win Pricebenders auctions and the thousands of people who watch the auctions and/or view the winners page click YOUR name.
• When someone uses a search engine for words that also appear on your TConnect site pages (i.e., someone looking for a home business in your city—both of these appear on your TConnect homepage).
• When TC shoppers click the link to learn more about the store member selling a given product.
• When TC visitors select the "Members I connect with" and/or the "Members who connect with me" dropdown menus on the right side of any TC Member TConnect Website. Hint: This is one of the reasons for connecting with other members: So links to your TConnect Website appear on lots of other members' TConnect pages and the "buzz" about TC builds. Look for cool SFI and TripleClicks banners (and perhaps a "Join My SFI Team" button, too) for display on your TConnect page coming soon!

My Connections News. This is the section that could save you lots of money and time—and another good reason to connect with others at TripleClicks.com. Check in regularly for brief updates and access to specials automatically posted to your TConnect page from your favorite TC Members and ECAs. Just connect with a TC Member and/or an ECA you like and be the first to know about sales and other special customer offers!
TC Power Rankings. Get fun, prizes, and "bragging rights" from the TC Member power rankings prominently displayed in this section. Based purely on the number of other TC members who connect with you, your power rankings can be boosted by referring all your friends, family, downline members, etc. to your TConnect site and asking them to connect with you by clicking the "Connect with this member" button in the top right corner of the page. Keep an eye out for additional actions to boost your points and rankings in the coming weeks and months, as well as power rank prizes and gift certificates for the most points, most growth in your city, state/province, country, and more!
SFI Info Box. We didn't mention this element of your TConnect page in the first part of this article because it's pretty self-explanatory. Still, the information in this section is very important. Found at the bottom of your TC Connect page, the SFI Info Box is viewable to all SFI Affiliates who log in and land on your TConnect page. It displays your direct TConnect page link to use when referring others to this page, the VP you (or the affiliate viewing this page) have so far this month, and a link to sales tips, aids, and training.

STANDING ORDERS

What is it?

Having a Standing Order means you've chosen to have a product (or group of products) delivered to you each month...automatically. You can choose from hundreds of products at TripleClicks.
Setting up a Standing Order is quick and easy (see directions below), and you can easily modify or cancel your Standing Order at any time.

Once you click the SFI Forum link, SFI's system automatically logs you in, and you can begin to explore topics and posts immediately. An avatar is a small picture that can add some pizzazz to your forum posts. To add your own avatar, click Edit Avatar from the Profile tab. Avatars are, by definition, small. The maximum dimensions allowed are 90 x 90 pixels and 6KB. Just follow the directions to upload a photo from your computer or a Website. TIP: http://www.resizr.com provides a quick, easy, free way to reduce the size of a photo or graphic to fit within forum specifications. STARTING A NEW TOPIC/POLL To start a new topic, enter the specific forum in which you want to post your thread and click the New Topic button at the top of the page. Input your subject header into the appropriate field. Tip: remember to keep it short and as succinct as possible to quickly convey your topic. Next, enter your question or comment in the text field. You can insert emoticons or special formatting using the options provided on the page. To upload an attachment to your topic, click the Upload Attachment tab below the text field and follow the upload instructions. To create a poll with your new topic, click the "Poll Creation" tab below the text field. Enter a title and at least two possible poll answers in the appropriate fields, making sure each option is on a separate line in the text area. Once you're satisfied with your topic, click either the Preview button to see how it will appear or select Submit to post the topic to the specific forum. You should be automatically redirected to your new topic. POSTING TO AN EXISTING TOPIC To post your own reply or input to a topic, just click the Post Reply button at the top or the bottom of the topic's page. You can change the subject header if you wish to set your post apart a bit. Just remember to keep it short and as succinct as possible to quickly convey your topic. Next, enter your reply in the text field. You can add emoticons or use special formatting with the options provided on the page. To upload an attachment to your post, click the Upload Attachment tab below the text field and follow the upload instructions. Once you're satisfied with your post, click either the Preview button to check your post as it will appear or select Submit to finalize your post to the topic. The forum should automatically redirect you to your new post. You can edit your posts at any time by clicking the Edit button at the top of your entry. TRACKING & FINDING FORUM INFO You can subscribe to a topic and receive e-mail updates each time someone posts to that topic. Just scroll down to the bottom of the topic of your choice and click the Subscribe Topic link. The link will then appear as "Unsubscribe Topic," which you can click to end your subscription. You can also easily view and manage all your subscribed topics via the Overview tab in the User Control Panel. Just click the Manage Subscriptions link there. If you'd simply like an easy reference to a specific topic, you can just bookmark it by clicking the Bookmark Topic link at the bottom of the topic's page. You aren’t alerted when there’s an update, but the link will appear in your browser's bookmark list. You can also easily view and manage all your bookmarked topics via the Overview tab in the User Control Panel. Just click the Manage Bookmarks link there. To search a forum or forums, enter a search term in the search box located at the top of forum or topic pages and click Search.
